Nestled in the guts of Jammu and Kashmir, this impressive temple is situated at an altitude of 3,888 meters. The temple is located around 141 kilometers from Srinagar, and may be accessed only through the favored Amarnath Yatra, a difficult pilgrimage which is permitted during the summer months. The
